Varsham Munduga !

I am listening to 'Varsham Munduga' - the lovely son from 'Sega movie' over and over again. Dont ask me when the movie came and gone. It bombed at the box office, the songs are good and specially this song is superb. The lyrics are just awesome and and each time, it makes me think of a new love in my head.
I suddenly have this feeling that this song will go very well...we should have a girl along with us in the car and then go to a sea facing area .. start the music and just relax.. i am sure we would be out of this world...

I can almost see myself totally lost on the road in that late hour, with the car stereos blaring out this song....yeah ok, I know that sounds bollywood-masala-crazy...but what do you do if a song induces you to think that way...

You listen to it as well and then give the feedback.

Happy Dhanteras 2011 !!!!

Goddess Lakshmi Dhanteras marks the first day of five-days-long Diwali Festival. Dhanteras takes place two days before Diwali. Dhanteras Festival, also known as Dhantrayodashi or Dhanwantari Triodasi, falls on the auspicious thirteenth lunar day of Krishna Paksha in the Hindu month of Kartik (October/November). In the word Dhanteras, “Dhan” stands for wealth. On Dhanteras we are supposed to buy something in gold or silver as per the money we make.

I along with Peenal went to Tanishq showroom which opened last week in Himayatnagar. And to my suprise the shop was full of people and there was no space to even sit or move in the shop. I really wondered how people are still buying Gold which is touching 28k right now.

Joy of Giving ... the full month of Oct

Now what is Joy of Giving Week?

Now basic question first to think about,

What do we do when we see some poor person outside on the road?
What do we do when some stranger comes to our door step in need of our help, financial or as food?
What do we do, when we know we have something extra with us at home?
Now the reply to most of these questions in our day-to-day life would be, 'NOTHING'. Always we have this thought, someone will help them. We have NGO's, minister's for what, to help them, let they do it. We should not encourage them to beg, but we should give them work (the words just fly in the air).

We buy clothes every alternative week, for every occasion and weeding's, and there is no space in the wardrobe, but still we dont want to part some of the clothes for another brother or sister of mine who doesnt have anything to wear even for a day.

We eat every other day in restaurants, and order food more than we can eat, and it just goes waste, but there is this person who sits near my house outside, who just imagines of having a morsel of food everyday, and in the contrary never does.

We roam in GPS enabled, Fully Air-Conditioned, Power Steering, and all accessories included SUV's and MUV's, travel by flights and spend our vacations on cruises, but the same another creation of God who is a look alike like me, I see him dragging himself on the road every-time I pass the road.

If we had lots of money, we could have built a ashram for them. If we had a big bungalow or a firm, I would have appointed them as my employees. If I was the minister I would have eradicated poverty all over.

All these thoughts just remain as thoughts for the time being and then they are just faded while we move some steps further!

The Joy of Giving Week is an initiative, a reminder for us every year, to start sharing and giving what we have in abundance.

What can we do about it?
Collect all the old clothes, newspapers you have at home, and give it to Scrap Dealer, and the money you get give it some poor person you know or have come across
Any un-used stationary items you have at home, give it some NGO's or organisation who have planned to collect items to give it to the poor, ashrams etc.
Join as a volunteer in collecting things, and serving the poor.
Atleast if not anything, as a last good thing you can do is share the word to all.

A Long Night Tonight !

Please do not jump to any conclusions ! ;) i know you all have some dirty thoughts in mind the moment you read the title of this ....

What i meant to say that tonight i am going to finish a new book Revolution 20:20 by Chetan Bhagat. Chetan Bhagat is definately one of the best writers in English that India ever had. All the previous wonderful books that he has written right from 5 Point someone then One Night at the Call Center, then the 3 Mistakes of my life and then the 2 States.. all of them very good reads and now it is Revolution 2020 from Chetan Bhagat.

So now pretty much i am just waiting for the book to get finished tonight or tomorrow night and i can sleep in peace that i finished the book coz i know how good this book can be.

Inner Fear of the self , and the adrenaline it produces !

Fear is strange. When we’re in a moment of life-or-death danger, we’re frequently amazed by how our brains and bodies react. That’s because the fear response is carried out by subconscious systems to which we have no direct conscious access. It’s like a separate personality lurking deep within our skulls. The only time we get to meet it is when our lives are on the line.

Fear is fast. Like all automatic systems, the fear response deploys much more quickly than our conscious thought processes. The amygdala can identify danger and prompt an effective response before our higher-level mind is even aware than a problem exists.

Fear is clever. We tend to think of automatic processes as being stereotyped, if not wholly irrational. Creativity tends to get credited to the frontal cortex. But in the laser-like focus of a life-or-death crisis, people are often able to come up with creative solutions with astonishing speed.

Fear is effortless. Automatic processes don’t require mental effort. Time and again, people who survive mortal danger report functioning with unusual clarity, as they immediately perceived what needed to be done, and did it.

Fear is unforgettable. Amygdala activation jolts the hippocampus, the region that mediates long-term memory storage. This results in the “flash-bulb memory effect”: we can vividly remember events that took place in conjunction with intense fear.
These experiences play an outsize role in how we view ourselves. They are formative, transcendent, and unforgettable.

Have you ever been surprised by your reaction to an acute crisis? Have you ever experienced danger so intense it changed the way it looked at the world? I’d love to hear your stories.

ABOUT LOVE

THE ONE WHO IS FULL OF LOVE IS THE ONE WHO IS ALWAYS HAPPY.

Contemplation:
When you are constantly having love for everyone, you'll have no negativity. Your unselfish love will make you have only positive thoughts and you'll find yourself in constant happiness.

Application:
Start your day with thinking of all the people you come in contact with. Then take a thought in your mind that you have love for all of them. This thought will help you throughout the day. You'll find yourself accepting others as they are and having good wishes for them.

YOUR LOVE FOR GOD WILL MAKE YOU VICTORIOUS IN ALL SITUATIONS.

Contemplation:
Your love for God will make you experience His companionship in everything you do. Where there is love there is never a moment of loneliness. Thus you will be able to move forward with courage in all the challenges that life brings.

Application:
Think of one situation where you have found yourself failing. Now think that God is with you to help you in this situation. When you believe this, you will find that you'll get the courage to accept and face the situation. Then you can also work and bring about a change in the situation.

THE ONE WAY TO CHANGE OTHERS IS TO DEAL WITH THEM WITH LOVE.

Contemplation:
When you have love for others, you will have good wishes for them. Your desire to change them will then be for their good and not for your own selfishness. Others will quickly respond to your unselfish love and you will find them changing.

Application:
Think of one person you want to bring about a change in. Before you think of changing that person let there be a lot of love for that person in your mind. Also make sure the change you want in the other person is for his own good and not for your own selfish reason.

IT IS ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE LOVE FOR YOURSELF THAT YOU CAN FORGIVE YOURSELF.

Contemplation:
Love gives you the power to forgive. Just as you find it easy to forgive a person you love, when you have love for yourself you can forgive yourself too. It is only then can you find yourself learning and progressing without making yourself heavy.

Application:
When you find yourself making a mistake, remind yourself that if you have to progress you have to forgive yourself. Learn from your mistake in such a way that you never repeat it and forgive yourself. Then you'll be able to move forward with lightness.

WHERE THERE IS LOVE, THE HARDEST TASK BECOMES EASY TO PERFORM.

Contemplation:
If something is difficult, it means there is no love. Where there is love, even a task as difficult and big as a mountain becomes as easy and light as cotton. Love makes work easier and lighter.

Application:
Today is the day to love your work. Whatever you are doing, remember that you love your work. Experiment with one thing that you have been finding it difficult to do with a reminder to yourself that you love it and that is the reason you are doing it.

Long time ... No See :)

Like other things, the most difficult thing to do, is to start something AGAIN and AGAIN . I had stopped writing in this blog for long till my friend send me the link to check it again and start writing again. So here i am today again to write to read for my dear friend. I will not name my friend... it is anybody's guess who would be behind me to write more and more.

Anytime I start to write something, the first problem I face is to decide the topic, and the heading....which does not mean that I don't face other problems later, but mostly, it takes me a long long time to decide the topic.

Well, simply to explain to myself as to why i am not writing.

1. I could not find time and topic to write
2. Lot of work at work place and no time to blog.
3. Could not write the thoughts i get and forgot about the blog.
4. Was thinking if i would write crap what would my friends say .
5. Became a GARFIELD.. plain lazy.

But then, it is better to write something and let those thoughts come out somewhere .
So, here I start again....
